Q & A – a great read!

During the resent holiday I finished reading a great book that I can only recommend! The book “Q & A” by Vikas Swarup is the story of a homeless buy who wins the main price in the Indian version of “Who want’s to be a Millionaire?”. Every chapter in the book takes it’s origin in how the buy was able to answer the different questions. Through the different chapters the reader gains insight in Indian culture and the life of the main character.

The book is a great read and it gives a unique insight to India.

And at this years Golden Globes the movie Slumdog Millionaire took home four prizes, including best Movie… So I am really looking forward to the Danish premiere in February!

  1. I just the saw the movie and it really touched my heart. I am wondering the book reading will bring me more near to the character called Jamal. This movie wins!

    • I haven’t seen the movie yet, but the book is really great in the way it describes the life of the main character, so I can only recommend that you read it… If you love Slumdog I can recommend that you see Monsoon Wedding! It is quite old but it is still great

  2. hey klintrup,
Now that the movie has won oscar, could write another post which compares the plot of Q&A to SlumdogMillionaire. Like..what is there in the movie which has been added (not there in the novel).
    Thanks

  3. I am really looking forward to seeing the movie, although I have heard that it differs a lot from the book. Apparently the movie features a mean brother and the main character is called Jamal… Two things that is very different from the book, but I will for sure see the movie and I will undoubtedly enjoy it. The movie has not opened in Denmark yet but when it does I will write a post on the difference between Slumdog and Q&A…
